Salary: £56,100 pro rata for 15 hours per week

Term: Appointment is contingent upon receipt of funding from the Wales European Funding Office and/or Welsh Government in relation to delivery of the Accelerate programme. Programme is expected to conclude April 2022
About the role
The Head of Accelerate will lead a multi-partner, research and development programme jointly funded by the Welsh Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund. This role represents a unique and exciting opportunity to lead a £23.5 million programme that is helping to advance the development and adoption of innovative solutions for better health and wellbeing.
The post holder will provide strategic oversight and direction of the programme on behalf of the SRO to ensure that desired programme outcomes and objectives are delivered. In addition, the successful applicant will maximise the effectiveness of the programme team, promote successes, resolve matters arising and report progress to Company Boards / sub-committees and programme funders.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proven track record in leading regional or national government programmes. We require an individual who can demonstrate strong leadership and believes collaboration is key to the achievement of outcomes and impacts.
You will be skilled at assessing information, behaviours and situations to make timely, considered and well-judged decisions. Moreover, you must enjoy working in a multi-stakeholder environment, nurturing close working relationships with, and between, internal and external partners.
