About the role

We’re looking for an experienced senior finance practitioner with public sector or board level experience of audit and risk management to join our Board. 

It’s an exciting time to get involved with Life Sciences Hub Wales as we continue to grow and develop to support the fantastic innovative opportunities for health and social care in Wales. 

You will provide support to the Board on key issues, taking an active part in discussions, providing your advice, opinion and challenge. 

You will support the CEO in the appointment of senior staff and the mentoring of existing staff.

You will contribute to the continuing development of a healthy, dynamic and continuous improvement culture across the organisation.

With your independent views, you will contribute to the work of the Board using your experience and knowledge, and your ability to stand back from the day to day operational management.

You will analyse and critically review complex information and contribute to sound decision-making, strategy development and guide the operational plan of the business.

Board Members are expected to be available to work for Life Sciences Hub Wales a   minimum of 12 days per annum.  The Board will meet at least 6 times a year.
