HTC Project Lead
Naomi is a senior lecturer in Swansea University Medical School. Naomi has a background in regenerative medicine and light therapy with her PhD focusing on the potential of photo therapy for the healing of wounds. She also has a keen interest in innovative therapies for the healing of chronic non-healing wounds. Naomi completed her PhD at Swansea University Medical School. Since then, Naomi has been part of key strategic collaborations including A Regional Collaboration for Health (ARCH), Swansea Bay City Region and the Enterprise and Innovation department within the Institute of Life Sciences where she co-chairs the research, enterprise and innovation programme. Naomi has always been passionate about making a positive difference to patient health outcome through life sciences.
Naomi is the project lead for the Healthcare Technology Centre (HTC), as part of the £24M Accelerate programme, within Swansea University Medical School. With a dedicated team of 16, HTC specialises in the technology development and adoption pipeline in Wales, by supporting research, enterprise and innovation activities alongside related knowledge and skills development. With Naomi and the team’s extensive experience, HTC will transform healthcare by taking innovation from bench to bedside and back again.
