I was delighted to attend the Social Care Wales Accolades Awards on May 1st 2025, recognising and celebrating the amazing work that’s happening across social care, early years and childcare sectors in Wales.

This year’s ceremony, hosted by radio and TV presenter Garry Owen, and Chief Executive of Social Care Wales, Sarah McCarty was a day full of celebration, highlighting the essential work of carers in Wales.

With over 125 projects and care workers entered or nominated for awards, this year 11 projects and seven individuals reached the final round of the awards across six categories. Six winners were presented with their awards at this year’s ceremony.

It was a pleasure to sponsor the awards again this year, and to have our Board member Peter Max present the award for the ‘Working in Partnership’ category. Championing partnerships, we can help strengthen the sector, drive impactful innovation, and improve the wellbeing for communities across Wales.

Congratulations to Connecting Carmarthenshire on winning this award. A partnership project run by Carmarthenshire County Council that aims to help residents live and age well.

A clear and consistent message from all the winners and finalists throughout the day gave a glimpse into their passion and enthusiasm for their work, and the significant role they play in making a meaningful difference to the lives of those they support. A huge congratulations to all of this year's winners and finalists.
