Daniel completed his PhD in molecular neuroscience at Swansea University’s Medical School in 2017. Daniel’s PhD focussed on development of new models Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Disease for testing natural and synthetic anti-neurodegenerative therapeutics. Since this Daniel has facilitated the University on numerous strategic projects in the Life Science sector through managing industry engagement and research on a portfolio of academic-industry collaborations.

This included international initiatives. Daniel is now an Innovation Technologist working for the pan-Wales Accelerate programme through Swansea University’s School of Management and Medicine, with research interests in commercialisation of medical research, technology and healthcare innovation. This portfolio of projects spans areas such as development and deployment of Smart Water Technologies and remediation technologies, through to pharmaceuticals industry and NHS engagement to develop collaborative models for successful implementation of Value Based Healthcare (VBHC).
