Life Sciences Hub Wales exists to make Wales the place of choice for health, care and wellbeing innovation. We bring together industry, health and social care, academia, and government to drive impactful collaboration, accelerate the adoption of innovative solutions, and deliver benefits for people, patients, and the economy.

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Head of Partnerships to lead our strategic stakeholder engagement and Partnership delivery during a 12-month maternity cover. You’ll join our Senior Management Team, lead a team of seven, and play a central role in strengthening and growing partnerships across Wales, the UK and internationally.

About the role

Working closely with our Innovation Adoption Director, you will lead the development and delivery of a focused, strategic approach to engagement at Life Sciences Hub Wales. You will connect and influence across industry, health and social care providers, academia, government, professional bodies and support agencies, building strong relationships that deliver measurable impact. Acting as a senior representative of the organisation, you will identify opportunities that address clinical needs, drive a strong pipeline of innovation projects, and ensure Wales is positioned as a leader in health and social care innovation.

You will oversee the implementation of our engagement strategy and account management plan, leading targeted stakeholder mapping, relationship management and network building. This includes working with NHS, clinical networks and wider healthcare and life sciences sector to scope and champion innovation opportunities, overseeing the Partnership Team delivery of key partnership delivery plans, the delivery of strategic engagement programmes and the co-ordination of our annual organisational events portfolio. You will represent Life Sciences Hub Wales at Wales and UK level, promoting collaboration, securing investment, and sharing best practice from across the global health innovation community.

As part of the Senior Management Team, you will lead a strong and collaborative team of seven, ensuring delivery against strategic and operational plans. You will drive effective processes for engagement, oversee performance monitoring and reporting, and contribute to organisational strategy and governance.
