The National Network for Innovation in Sport & Health, with ARCH, is hosting five free Health Insights Workshops for third-sector organisations and companies working in the health sector.

The workshops follow the publication of the regional Health Needs Assessment, which provides clarity on the current state of health and wellbeing amongst the specific population of Hywel Dda University Health Board and Swansea Bay University Health Board.
The assessment aimed to provide a foundation for evidence-based decision-making for research and innovation in health and wellbeing across Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, with a focus on enhancing patient experiences and outcomes.
The workshops are an opportunity to gain a valuable understanding of into your community’s health and wellbeing needs. The events will include updates on:
Population Profile: Information about the people who live in the region and future population trends
Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation: Data on the areas facing the biggest challenges
We’ll also discuss the most prolific health issues facing these populations, such as:
- Cardiovascular conditions
- Cancers
- Long-term illnesses that limit daily activities
- Chronic conditions
- Premature death
