The AI Commission for Health and Social Care has endorsed the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Regulation Service (AIDRS).

AI Commission event with networking breaks

AIDRS provides a resource of guidelines, best practices, and regulations relating to AI and digital health technologies. This service aims to simplify regulatory requirements and help adopters and developers of AI navigate the evolving landscape of emerging technologies in health and social care.

AIDRS has been jointly developed by four key health and social care regulators:

These organisations have collaborated to provide a summary of regulations and guidelines relevant to the adoption of AI technology, as well as case studies and expert advice and commentary to aid understanding and adoption of AI.

Support for health and social care professionals:

The AI Commission has also announced plans to collaborate with NHS England and other UK partners to support AIDRS, meeting the needs of service users in Wales. Welsh NHS and Social Care professionals with specific regulatory needs, are encouraged to contact the relevant organisations in Wales for additional support.

For further, more detailed information on using AIDRS, visit the AIDRS website here.
