Life Sciences Hub Wales is delighted to announce that applications for The Spread and Scale Academy are now open. The Academy is a unique and innovative programme developed in collaboration with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and the Bevan Commission.

A unique approach

The four-day programme will run between Monday 30 September and Thursday 3 October 2019 and will be delivered in partnership with South West Alliance Health Science Network and internationally-recognised trainers from the Billions Institute.

With a passionate and motivated NHS workforce, Wales is seeing more innovation and improvement projects than ever. The Spread and Scale Academy is about widening the reach of these projects and providing individuals and teams with the tools needed to scale up projects across organisations, regions and Wales.

Cari-Anne Quinn, CEO of the Life Sciences Hub Wales, said “This is an amazing opportunity to build on the inspiring work already taking place Wales, with the aim of encouraging good practice and innovation to spread as widely and as quickly as possible. It will be a packed four days which will provide an approach to ensure that what’s making a difference in one place can be scaled up and benefit patients and citizens across Wales.” 

Applications

50 highly sought-after places are now available for the first Spread and Scale Academy. To apply, applicants should:

  •  Have a team of between 2-5 members
  • Have a small, successful project that has the potential to be scaled up
  • Be available between Monday 30 September and Thursday 3 October 2019
  • Be motivated to unleash their project at scale
  • Note: The deadline for applications is: Sunday 21 July 2019, 11:59pm
