Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance
Andrew is a corporate governance professional who has worked across sectors and is committed to the development of robust governance, risk and assurance control systems.
Previously, Andrew worked at Public Health Wales NHS Trust, first in corporate governance, followed by a period in business operations in the Public Health Services directorate, responsible for microbiology, health protection and screening services in Wales.
Andrew has held governance posts at the Universities of Cardiff and Bristol, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public and Financial Accountants.
Andrew holds a doctorate in history from Cardiff University, where he taught and undertook academic research and public engagement. He is an elected member of the Royal Historical Society.
Andrew is responsible for the organisation’s corporate governance, risk management, board and committee business, cyber security, and information governance. He is working with stakeholders to develop new, collaborative models of governance that enable innovation activities.
