Healthcare Market Analyst
Tom joined Life Sciences Hub Wales as a Healthcare Market Analyst. After graduating from Cardiff University with a Biochemistry BSc degree in 2019, he joined a small Wales-based market research consultancy that assesses the commercial feasibility of biotech and healthcare innovations from universities and private organisations using primary and secondary research methodologies. These projects covered a wide range of innovative ideas, including within biomanufacturing, in vitro diagnostics and neuroimaging.
Tom’s role involves conducting market analysis as part of the Sector Intelligence team, in order to provide insights into the Welsh, UK and international healthcare and life science sectors. This analysis is used for both internal purposes (such as to help inform Life Sciences Hub Wales’ strategic direction) and external purposes (such as for the provision of market research reports for companies developing novel healthcare technologies, products and services).
