The aim of the workshop is to help attendees develop their knowledge of various religious aspects of healthcare so that they can better understand patient needs and how these might relate to ethical challenges when caring for them.

A small group of medical professionals gather around a table as they meet together to discuss patient cases. They are each dressed professionally and have files scattered between them for reference.

The workshop will include short talks from chaplains representing a range of faith traditions on healthcare aspects particularly important to their religious communities.

Participants will be able to ask questions to the chaplains, share their own experiences in caring for patients from various faith backgrounds, or explain important customs of their own religious communities, if they so wish.

It is hoped that by then end of the workshop attendees will feel better prepared to deal with ethical dilemmas on the intersection of religion and healthcare.
