Life Sciences Hub Wales has established an Innovation Support and Collaboration Scheme in accordance with the Subsidy Control Act 2022.
The Scheme provides primarily in-kind innovation support and collaboration services to eligible recipients operating within, or delivering demonstrable benefit to, the Welsh health and social care innovation ecosystem.
For subsidy control purposes, this only applies where the recipient is acting as an enterprise, meaning it is engaged in economic activity by offering goods or services on a market. Where support relates solely to non-economic activity, the subsidy control position may be different and should be considered on a case-by-case basis.
This could include SMEs, large enterprises, universities, third sector organisations, NHS organisations or other public sector bodies, but only where they are acting as enterprises for subsidy control purposes.
The Scheme supports innovation development, adoption and scaling; partnership working; access to expertise, networks and infrastructure; programme delivery; and collaborative initiatives that contribute to Welsh Government ambitions for innovation, health, social care and economic development.
