This new collaboration will connect forward-thinking innovators, researchers, clinicians and entrepreneurs and create a robust pipeline of exciting projects and businesses. Combining M-SParc’s vibrant innovation ecosystem with the specialist sector knowledge and networks of Life Sciences Hub Wales will help bring cutting-edge ideas from concept to life, delivering health and economic benefits.
The home to over 50 innovative businesses, M-SParc supports ambition, innovation and enterprise across Wales – building a connected, collaborative ecosystem that drives progress and ambition. Life Sciences Hub Wales exists to help propel inspiring life science innovations into frontline use in health and social care across Wales. The Cardiff-based organisation supports industry, academia, health and social care to make Wales a place of choice for health, care and wellbeing innovation.
Local Ideas Global Impact
The partnership aims to foster projects that solve real-world health challenges be that through digital health solutions, medical devices and biotech breakthroughs. Together the organisations will provide guidance, access to specialist support and a collaborative platform for innovators at every stage of development.

What’s next?
The first cycle of collaborative projects will include innovation workshops, applications for funding and sector-specific events that will encourage collaboration between academia, the NHS and industry. Now that there are strong foundations in place, both M-SParc and Life Sciences Hub Wales are looking forward to a future where Welsh innovation will contribute towards global health solutions.
