Sector Intelligence Lead
Sarah’s role focusses on developing and delivering Life Sciences Hub Wales’ funding intelligence and services, in order to maximise funding wins for health and care innovation in Wales. This includes research, analysis and gathering of sector intelligence to support the identification of funding opportunities that align with unmet needs within NHS Wales, enabling the best applicants to link up to these, and supporting applicants through funding processes. Sarah’s primary area of expertise is in grant funding. After completing her PhD, she worked at Cardiff University’s School of Medicine as a post doc before moving into grant and project management in the life and physical sciences, covering academic, industrial and clinical sectors. Before joining our organisation, she worked as a Grant Specialist delivering government-funded blended finance grants to businesses in Wales. Sarah is qualified in PRINCE2 and Sustainable Finance and has an active interest in subsidy regulations.
