About the role
An opportunity has arisen within the Life Sciences Hub Wales for a Senior Partnership Developer. This central role will reward a credible, experienced, driven, and autonomous individual with experience in life sciences, medical devices, or similar fields, who can demonstrate a self-starter capability, success in customer facing roles, and bring a fresh perspective on opportunities in the life sciences sector. Day to day, you’ll be responsible for stakeholder engagement, building strategic, cross-sector relationships to drive innovation, and forward planning.
To be successful, you’ll probably have a business development role on your CV, as well as being unafraid to take a sales-orientated approach while remaining comfortable working at the interface between public and private sectors. You’ll also be exceptional at identifying opportunities to deliver a pipeline of innovation projects and generating substantial, long-term relationships with commercial and public sector partners. You will also need an ability to recognise the benefits that these types of relationships bring to health, economic growth and academic research, and can direct our organisation’s resources to capitalise on these opportunities.
You’ll have a track record of developing partnerships, negotiating, and closing out contracts and creating persuasive proposals. You’ll also bring great communication and relationship management skills, commercial acumen, and a proactive, creative approach.
