Kairos Biotech is an early-stage company based in St Asaph, Denbighshire focussing on proprietary small molecule discovery applied to diagnostics and immunotherapy. Kairos Biotech are developing a pipeline of small molecules for next generation immunotherapy and diagnostics and aims to improve transplant options by removing immunological barriers to transplantation.

JR Biomedical is a biotechnology company based in the OpTIC Centre in St Asaph, United Kingdom, and specialises in the design, development and distribution of diagnostics, including research ELISAs and clinical diagnostics.

Aparito is a Wrexham-based digital clinical trial company who have developed the Atom5 Clinical Trial Platform, which supports Video Assessments, Electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment (eCOA), Telemedicine, Wearables and eConsent, all via one smartphone app. Although originally designed for paediatric and rare disease trials, Atom5 has since been deployed in a wide range of studies in over 20 countries.

Ig Innovations is a subsidiary of Abbott Toxicology, which is itself a subsidiary of Abbott, a multinational healthcare and medical device company. Ig Innovation produce polyclonal antibodies for the research, diagnostic, biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.

The Welsh Wound Innovation Centre was established to tackle the challenges associated with acute, traumatic and chronic, non-healing wounds and their treatment and prevention. The centre provides education and training, delivers clinical research and provides commercial consultancy services.

The Wales Gene Park is funded by the Welsh Government through Health and Care Research Wales, and is hosted in Cardiff University. The Gene Park supports and promotes genetic and genomic research across Wales, aiding the implementation of the Welsh Government’s Genomics for Precision Medicine Strategy. In addition, the Park provide bespoke sequencing and bioinformatic analysis to biomedical research scientists

The Wales Cancer Research Centre is based in Cardiff University and is funded by Health and Care Research Wales. The centre supports research by developing the cancer research strategy for Wales.

PRIME Centre Wales is a research centre focusing on primary and emergency care, funded by Health and Care Research Wales in order to develop and coordinate research proposals and support researchers.

The OpTic Technology Centre provides research & development and serviced innovation facilities for start-up and early-stage companies. Specifically, the centre is a hub for optoelectronics technology and scientific innovation.

The IHCC is an all-Wales programme of work that bring together health boards and NHS Trusts to promote and facilitate international health partnerships.
