In September 2022, Craig Maxwell was diagnosed with incurable (stage 4) genetic lung cancer. Undeterred by the diagnosis, Craig embarked on a series of fundraising challenges that not only surpassed the initial target of £300,000, raising a total of £1,300,000 to support the Velindre Cancer Charity and the QuicDNA (cancer genomics) project.
