The Leading Digital Transformation Academy at the University of South Wales in an Intensive Learning Academy (ILA) that aims to bring together a community of digitally focused leaders and aspiring leaders from across health, social care and third sector. The cross-collaboration of research, knowledge and learning opportunities, develop new prevention approaches and doctoral research-based studies to conduct in-depth research for translating research into prevention outcomes.

Bangor University’s Academy for Health Equity, Prevention and Wellbeing is an Intensive Learning Academy (ILA), that has been developed in collaboration with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The Academy is focusing on accelerating the promotion and adoption of preventative health into practice across an integrated healthcare ecosystem (such as health and social care, third sector, housing, education, and life science industries) and within a bilingual context.

The All-Wales Academy for Innovation in Health and Social Care at Swansea University is an Intensive Learning Academy (ILA), which has been developed in collaboration with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Cardiff University, and the Bevan Commission, to offer training on innovation and transformation within health, social care and the third sector.

The Value-Based Health and Care Academy at Swansea University is an Intensive Learning Academy (ILA) that offers educational courses, research opportunities and consultancy services for Value-Based Health and Care. The Academy is the academic partner to the Value-in-Health programme in Wales, and part of the World Economic Forum’s Global Innovator Hub for Value in Healthcare.

At Life Sciences Hub Wales, we drive the development and adoption of life science innovation in health and social care in Wales. We’re a dynamic interface, connecting life science innovators with research partners, funding opportunities and end users - frontline health and social care teams - supporting well-being and ultimately generating growth, jobs and prosperity across Wales. Life Sciences Hub Wales offer extensive support at any point on the development journey, right up to end user adoption.

Science and Engineering Applications (SCIENAP) develop digital technology in a range of fields, including healthcare. SCIENAP have developed CHAI, a platform for healthcare workers to capture and process patient data, which can be used to create care plans and clinical handover notes. The company have also developed Care and Respond, a digital health passport for patients with rare or complex conditions.

Medical Toolkit is developing artificial intelligence tools for healthcare, including a natural language processing tool to analyse medical notes and a neural network to analyse medical images.

PataPata provide skincare products for infants, based on research from Cardiff University's School of Pharmacy.
