The company have developed PocketMedic, a mobile application that contains a library of films to help patients manage their health conditions. Films are available for multiple diseases, including diabetes, lymphoedema, heart failure, COPD, exercise with lung disease, chronic pain, recovery from cancer, wellbeing, pressure ulcer prevention and end of life care.
CPR Global Tech is a digital company who have developed the CPR Guardian, a wearable smartwatch which can detect if a user has fallen and sets off an SOS alarm which can be sent to carers or family members.
Aparito is a Wrexham-based digital clinical trial company who have developed the Atom5 Clinical Trial Platform, which supports Video Assessments, Electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment (eCOA), Telemedicine, Wearables and eConsent, all via one smartphone app. Although originally designed for paediatric and rare disease trials, Atom5 has since been deployed in a wide range of studies in over 20 countries.
The WIDI is a collaboration between the University of Wales Trinity St David (UWTSD) and the NHS Wales Informatics Service (NWIS - Now Digital Health and Care Wales). This partnership has led to the development of initiatives linked to health data management, whilst also allowing the NWIS to contribute to the design of academic programs within UWTSD, whilst giving UWTSD students the opportunity to access work placements and internships.
