NHS England is set to open a new round of funding for innovation in the early detection and diagnosis of cancer. The ‘Innovation Open Call 3’ is designed to facilitate the integration of innovative solutions into frontline healthcare settings, alongside addressing key implementation evidence gaps.

New guidance has been published recommending a form of radiotherapy to treat people with early-stage rectal cancer in Wales.

The programme is in collaboration with the Wales Cancer Network, with the Health Board seeing its first patients for scans from 27 September.
