The company was founded as a spin-out from the Welsh Institute for Minimal Access Therapy (WIMAT). Alesi Surgical's products ULTRAVISION and ULTRAVISION2 minimise surgical smoke in an operating room without the need for CO2 exchange, improving visibility, reducing camera cleaning and reducing a department's CO2 consumption. The company have recently secured FDA approval for ULTRAVISION2.
