Calon Cardio is a Swansea-based medical device company. The company have developed the Calon MiniVAD a miniature implantable blood pump for the treatment of patients with advanced chronic heart failure which is currently undergoing clinical testing required for regulatory approval.

Cancer Research UK is dedicated to saving lives through research. Their mission is to prevent, control and cure cancer through our ground-breaking research and in the last 40 years our work has helped double survival rates. But there is more work to be done. CRUK are the only charity fighting over 200 types of cancer.

Cancer Research Wales aims to relieve sickness and promote good health by advancing knowledge and understanding of cancer and its possible treatment and prevention techniques, providing and supporting facilities for high quality cancer research in Wales.

ATiC (part of the University of Wales Trinity St David) is a research and business support centre focused on the development of assistive technologies. The centre offers access to academic expertise, and cutting-edge facilities including UX laboratories and prototyping facilities.

CanSense is a Swansea University spin-out who are developing a blood-based assay for the non-invasive diagnosis of bowel cancer using artificial intelligence-based modelling.

Cantre Mobility are a supplier of mobility equipment and other patient aids including armchairs and beds.

Capital Law is a commercial law firm who offer a range of legal services, including to the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry

RPBs have been established as part of Welsh Government's Social Services and Well Being Act to improve the well-being of the population and improve how health and care services are delivered in their region. The Cardiff and Vale RPB covers the same area as Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

The Regional Innovation Co-ordination (RIC) Hubs form a national network funded by Welsh Government. These Hubs sit within the local Health Board and work to enable the Regional Partnership Board's transformation programme and complement the Regional Integrated Fund (RIF) focussing on innovation infrastructure and activity helping to integrate health and care services. This Hub is situated within Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board.

Local health boards are responsible for planning and delivering NHS services in their areas. Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is responsible for providing NHS, health and wellbeing services in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
