The network is funded by Health and Care Research Wales

The Welsh Institute of Physical Activity, Health and Sport (WIPAHS) is a pan-Wales network of Welsh Universities and Sport Wales who research questions on the nation’s wellbeing and health and translate this research into practice.

Thermetrix have developed the Podium System, a thermography scanner for the plantar foot that can be used to predict an impending foot ulcer or identify vascular insufficiency or neuropathy. The company have also developed a companion app to view the results and control the thermograph.

TrakCel have developed OCELLOS, a software platform for supply chain management for advanced cell and gene therapy. The platform is suited for therapies both in clinical trial and commercial settings. TrakCel have also launched a consultancy service to share their expertise in cell and gene therapy process development
