Inviting industry to support emergency care delivery in Wales

SBRI Centre of Excellence has launched an exciting opportunity for industry to work with the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust (WAST) and Health Boards within Wales. This programme aims to identify and implement innovative solutions that can reduce the unprecedented demand on both ambulances and Urgent & Emergency Care services across Wales.

First robotic hysterectomy completed in Wales

The first robotic hysterectomy in Wales using the Versius robot has taken place at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This is thanks to the implementation of the All-Wales Robotic Assisted Surgery Programme, which has been developed in partnership with Life Sciences Hub Wales, health boards across Wales and the Moondance Cancer Initiative.

Remote patient monitoring pilot shortlisted for two prestigious HSJ Awards

A cross-sector collaboration assessing and identifying the impact of remote monitoring technology on patient, care and clinical outcomes has been nominated in the ‘Digitising Patient Care Award’ category at the HSJ Awards and ‘Virtual or Remote Care Initiative of the Year’ category at the HSJ Patient Safety Awards.
